About  Us

North Borneo which is now of course Sabah, has a rich and diverse history with earliest human settlements dating back 30,000 years ago. Sabah is a Malaysian state occupying the northern part of the island of Borneo.

It’s famed for 4,095m-tall Mount Kinabalu, the country’s highest peak, crowned with distinctive granite spires. Sabah is also known for its beaches, rainforest, coral reefs and abundant wildlife, much of it within parks and reserves. Offshore, the Sipadan and Mabul island are noted diving destinations known to the world.

Originally established in June 2006 as Twintech International University College, we decided that we had to acknowledge our history and notable diversity in ethnicity, culture and language by changing our name to North Borneo University College (“NBUC”).  NBUC was acquired by the Geomatika Group in December 2012.

Our Campus

For the time being our local Sabah campus is located at Alamesra Permai Plaza 2 Kota Kinabalu. As from January 2017, NBUC has established Learning Centres to run its programmes via blended learning off campus. This is to cater for international students and students that do not reside in the state of Sabah. The aim being to achieve global recognition and validation beyond Sabah. Please contact us for more details.
