9th July 2025 - North Borneo University College (NBUC) proudly co-organized the Sabah TVET Symposium 2.0 2025, a prestigious platform that brings together industry leaders, academics, policymakers, and TVET stakeholders to explore the future direction of human capital development in Sabah.
The 2-day symposium, themed โEnabling the Next Leap Forwardโ, was officially held in collaboration with ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง ๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ฌ, ๐๐๐ค๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ข ๐๐๐ง ๐๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ฌ๐ข ๐๐๐๐๐ก (๐๐๐๐), Institute for Development Studies (IDS) Sabah, ๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ก๐ข๐ซ๐๐ง (๐๐๐), and NBUC.
Prof. Datuk Sr. Dr. Mohaizi Mohamad, President of NBUC, delivered a keynote speech titled โSabah TVET โ Enabling The Next Leap Forward,โ stressing TVETโs vital role in boosting Sabahโs competitiveness.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Datoโ Sr. Dr. Azimuddin Bahari moderated ๐๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ก๐๐ฆ๐ ๐: ๐๐๐๐โ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ญ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ๐ญ๐ก ๐ข๐ง ๐๐๐๐๐ก, focusing on TVETโs role in driving innovation and growth. Both leaders also contributed to the eventโs success in key roles: Prof. Mohaizi as Advisor II and Prof. Azimuddin as Co-Chairman, supported by a dedicated NBUC staff team.
