Mount Kinabalu, Kundasang, Sabah

Mount Kinabalu is the highest mountain in Borneo and Malaysia. With an elevation of 4,095 metres, it is the third-highest peak of an island on Earth, the 28th highest peak in Southeast Asia, and 20th most prominent mountain in the world.

Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, Sepilok

The world-renowned orangutan conservation facility is located in the state of Sabah, Malaysia on the island of Borneo.

The centre’s primary mission is to rehabilitate and provide a safe haven for orphaned and injured orangutans, one of the world’s most endangered primates.

Gaya Street

In the heart of the city, Gaya Street has been the center of business for over a hundred years. Built-in the 1950s and 1960s, the shop houses were used in the traditional way, with shops on the ground floor and residential units on the upper floor.

Tunku Abdul Rahman, National Park

The marine park is a cluster of Five islands – Gaya island, Sapi island, Manukan island, Mamutik island and Sulug island is about 20 minutes by speedboat from the city. Take a dip in the waters for a snorkel, a dive, or some sea walking. Or stay on the shore and bask in the sun with a picnic basket.

Sabah's Coral Reefs

Sabah’s coral reefs are home to some of the largest, most varied communities of marine life on earth. Apart from their biological significance, these reefs fringe a number of exotic islands which have become important centers for marine research and conversation.

Sipadan Island

The only oceanic island in Malaysia, rising 600 meters from the seabed. It is located in the Celebes Sea off the east coast of Sabah, Malaysia. It was formed by living corals growing on top of an extinct volcanic cone that took thousands of years to develop.
