11 December 2022 - North Borneo University College (NBUC) has organized Retreat 2023 at Le Meridien, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. A total of 52 participants attended and participated in the program. There were 6 speakers from the University of Geomatika Malaysia (UGM), 5 speakers from North Borneo University College (NBUC), 2 speakers from Geomatika College Keningau (GCK), and 6 Guest speakers who presented their plans. The program held from 10 December until 11 December 2022.

The Retreat 2023's goal is to introduce all staff members to a strategic action plan that will be used to implement initiatives and programs for the Geomatika Edugroup from 2023 to 2030. Additionally, it enables all NBUC staff members to concentrate more on enhancing each department and faculty member so that they can better meet the demands of 2023– 2030.
