23rd February – North Borneo University College (NBUC) has officially sealed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Small and Medium Enterprise Association of Sabah (SME Sabah). This MoU enable NBUC and SME Sabah to use their best endeavors to co-operate and collaborate in mutual learning between academics and industry that will benefits both parties.

The purpose of this MoU is to produce employees who are knowledgeable and suitable for the industry, upon graduation. It also encourages mutual learning between academics and industry because such an approach allows educators to understand the needs of the industry and further educate students more effectively.

In the event, NBUC was represented by Group President, Prof Datuk Sr Dr Mohaizi Mohamad, C.E.O NBUC, Associate Prof. Doretty R. Jiroh and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs, Associate Prof. Ahmad Massu.

Meanwhile SME Sabah was represented by President, Mr. Foo Ngee Kee and Deputy President, Datuk Tan Kai Teck.
