Kolej Universiti Utara Borneo, also known as North Borneo University College - NBUC, became one of 90 higher education institutions (HEIs) in Malaysia that received competitive results for the Integrated Rating of Malaysian Higher Education Institutions (Equivalent) 2022.

Setara is an evaluation system aimed at measuring the quality assurance and standard of HEIs for Public Universities, Private Higher Education Institutions (IPTS) of the university category and university Colleges. Equivalent Assessment is carried out based on instruments and assessment indicators set to drive the improvement of quality education.

For information, the Ministry of Higher Education has reformed the implementation of Setara by only dividing it into two categories compared to the previous six categories which are competitive and viable.

Congratulations to the management and all the people of NBUC under the administration of Prof. Datuk Sr. Dr. Mohaizi Mohamad, President and Prof. Dato' Sr. Dr. Azimuddin Bahari, Vice Chancellor above this rating. May the people of NBUC continue to excel to achieve success in the future.
